One clear path from approval to publish.

This guide describes the user-visible TikTok integration in ShortsFactory. It is written so an account owner can understand what is requested, what is sent, and where the result appears.

Connect an account

The operator selects TikTok in the Accounts area and is sent to TikTok's official Login Kit authorization screen. ShortsFactory never asks for a TikTok password.

Confirm the destination

After authorization, the connected display name appears in the workspace. The operator can enable, disable, refresh, or disconnect the account from settings.

Review an approved video

The operator imports an MP4, checks the crop and caption, selects the TikTok privacy option returned by the creator information endpoint, and chooses the destination.

Publish and follow status

For Direct Post, the selected file is sent through the Content Posting API using the file upload transfer method. The returned publish ID is polled until the History view shows a completed or failed result.

BOUNDARIES

What the integration does not do

It does not request TikTok passwords or unrelated profile data.
It does not publish without an operator-selected media item and destination.
It does not use URL-based media transfer for this flow; uploads use the local file transfer path.
Provider limits, privacy choices, and review gates remain in force.
